Sunrise Gathering: December 2008

This morning was the first official Sunrise Gathering, with six women present. The full moon, from the night before is said to be the largest full moon that would be seen in a long time. A unique moon for a unique event.
Soon after the Gathering began a Crow flew by the tipi and called out.
Looking up “Crow” in the Medicine Cards, I found that Crow is the keeper of Sacred law and an omen for change. The Cards also say that Crow signifies the law that “all things are born of women.” Very fitting messages to our Gathering.
Next Gathering is January 17th, 2009.
